Corrective Exercise and Proprioception

Soma Training is a hybrid of Strength & Conditioning and Osteopathic principles that utilizes the body’s web of connective tissue to segmentally or globally lengthen and strengthen beyond what general exercise can offer. Soma Training incorporates a number of different concepts that help the therapist identify and resolve poor movement patterns and proprioceptive dysfunction that maybe have been leading to increased stresses and strains on the joints and connective tissue of the body.  These stresses and strains can be a result of poor posture due to our modern lifestyle of prolonged sitting and desk work to the weekend warrior wanting to improve their fitness levels and activity.

Through careful analysis of a persons biomechanics a precise exercise regime can be put in place that targets the body more specifically and therefore more safely and effectively to address both strength, flexibility and proprioception.
